Google provides a lot of tools that are very useful to understanding your website and how the world is interacting with it. The first tool you must get acquainted with is Google Search Console. This gives you access to the organic traffic being sent to your website along with priceless tools that can help your SEO efforts.

The main parts of the search console website you will use are the Coverage, Performance and Sitemap tabs. You'll use the Sitemap tab to submit your website sitemap to Google. The Coverage tab is used to see which pages on your site are indexed by Google, or on Google, and which are not. Finally the performance tab is where you can gain insight into your SEO efforts. You will see impressions, clicks, and average position for each search term and each web page. You can really analyze the data there and determine if your efforts are helping or not.
Are Users Responsive To My Page Titles
You can also determine if users are responding to your page titles and descriptions. If you see a lot of impressions and no clicks or a low click through rate, then you know that users are not convinced enough to click on your page. This could also be because of your position in the Search results so make sure you pay attention to Average Position before committing to make changes to those parts of your website.
What Search Terms are My Pages Showing Up For?
You can determine this information also from the Performance tab. You can go to the Pages tab, and click on the Page you want to investigate, click on the Queries tab and see what search terms are associated with that page. You will also see the impressions and statistics in the graph above. If you notice that a page used to have impressions but no longer has impressions, then you may want to check the update to your title and description tags.
